MNI: While the bulk of the focus surrounding Chinese state media has fallen on

comments/threats re: rare earth materials exports to the U.S. in recent days, it

is worth highlighting that the state-owned outlets have started to comment on

the performance of U.S. equity markets on a more frequent basis, with one outlet

even suggesting that the Fed has become more "Trumpish." This indicates that

state media is willing to highlight weak points in Trump's armour as the trade

spat drags on, knowing that he has tied himself to the performance of U.S.

equities and continually criticised the Fed during its tightening cycle.
