North Korea test-launched two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) towards the East Sea Tuesday morning, the South's military commanders said after Seoul started its large-scale military exercise with the U.S.
- "We strongly condemn the North's series of ballistic missile launches as an act of significant provocation that harms peace and stability not only on the Korean Peninsula, but also in the international community, and a clear violation of U.S. Security Council resolutions," South Korean military said according to Yonhap News Agency.
- North Korea usually releases comments on its missile tests the day after a launch but it seems clear that the latest drills have been timed to coincide with the ongoing South Korea- U.S. war games. For that reason, we can expect further missile tests in the coming days.
