New FSRU for Italian LNG Underway from Asia

Italy's new FSRU is on the way to the country according to ICIS. The Golar Tundra has left Singapore and is heading to the Suez Canal on course to Piombino in Italy, where it will be a new import facility for SNAM.

  • The new facility is expected to start brining more gas into Italy by May.
  • It will add to Italy's three existing terminals.
  • The new FSRU for Italy will help Italy replace lower Russian pipeline gas flows to Europe.
