Nigeria’s NNPC has signed an agreement with Golar LNG to deploy an FSRU off the coast of the Niger delta, according to Reuters.

  • NNPC said that the project will utilise around 500 mcm/d of natural gas, producing LNG, propane, and condensates.
  • The deal is the second floating LNG accord NNPC has signed in the past year.
  • Nigeria still flares excess gas produced due to inadequate processing infrastructure.
