KIWI: NZD/USD has been hampered by the relative outperformance in the AUD in
recent sessions, with AUD/NZD ticking higher, last testing double top resistance
(NZ$1.0990/95) after a marginal uptick in the AUD in the wake of the latest RBA
MonPol decision.
- NZD/USD last deals at $0.6728, just above the session low of $0.6725, well
within the broader $0.6690-$0.6860 range observed since the start of July.
- Thursday's RBNZ decision & MPS provides the major NZ risk event this week,
with the GDT auction, due in London hours on Tuesday, set to provide some
moderate interest. Futures are pricing a circa 1% rise in WMP prices this time
out.
