KIWI: NZD/USD is 25 pips or so softer on the session, last ~$0.6675, with the
weakness in AUD/USD spilling over into the broader FX space, although the cross
is managing to garner some support from the move lower in AUD/NZD.
- On Wednesday NZD/USD found support ahead of $0.6680, aided by the 14-day RSI
sitting deep in oversold territory, although this level was breached overnight.
Subsequent recovery efforts have struggled to consolidate above $0.6700. A break
of Wednesday's Asia-Pacific high ($0.6720) would open up a move to long-term
downtrend resistance off of the April 13 high ($0.6730), with a close above
shifting the outlook back to neutral.
- Looking ahead, the latest NZ trade data release will hit on Friday.
