KIWI: NZD/USD last deals at $0.6798 with Kiwi ~15 pips higher on the day. The
pair advanced, supported by broader risk on flows, despite starting the Asia-Pac
session on the back foot as disappointing NZ retail sales figures hit the wires
just before the opening, sending the pair to intraday lows of $0.6756.
- Bulls eye the psychologically significant $0.6800 level, as the rate peaked
just a pip shy of it today. A break above would open up Friday's high at
$0.6820. Meanwhile, bears look to a move through Friday's low at $0.6767 before
challenging the 21-DMA at $0.6734.
- NZ highlights this week include trade balance numbers & RBNZ Fin Stability
Report due today. Elsewhere, RBNZ Gov Orr will speak twice today.
