The second debate between Rep Tim Ryan (D-OH) and Trump-endorsed GOP candidate JD Vance for the Ohio Senate seat will take place tonight at 19:00 ET 00:00 BST.

- The first debate last week was an acrimonious one with attacks exchanged on the economy, abortion, immigration, and the backing of former President Donald Trump.
- Ryan attacked businessman Vance for his relationship with the pharmaceutical industry and questioned his business connections to China.
- Vance, in return, said Ryan "poses as a moderate, but is really a Biden-style liberal."
- Pollsters show the race as a dead heat although most analysts tend to believe that polls undervalue Republican candidates in Ohio.
- If Democrats can flip the open seat it would put Democrats as strong favourites to retain control of the Senate.
