OIL: Kazakhstan Plans 120k tons of Crude Supply to Germany in May

Kazakhstan is planning to ship 120k tons of crude oil to Germany in May, according to a KazTransOil statement.

  • Kazakhstan sent 420k tons of crude oil to German in the first four months of the year compared to 993k via the route in 2023.
  • The country is exploring exporting up to 2m mt of oil to Germany via the Druzhba pipeline in 2024, Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Almasadan Satkaliev said in March.
  • KazTransOil also shipped 835k tons of Russian crude to China in April following a total of 2.508m tons during Q1 2024 and compared to 9.99m tons in 2023.
