AUSSIE
AUSSIE: Opened in Asia at $0.7660 at the low side of yesterday's $0.7656 to
$0.7719 range, where broad-based US dollar strength and cautious comments from
RBA's Debelle, placed the Aussie on the defensive. Debelle noted, 'there still
remains a sizeable degree of spare capacity in the labour market.' Australian Q3
PPI (0030GMT) and China Industrial Profits (0130GMT) provide the event risks for
the session ahead. Key-support is located at 0.7635/33, the area marks Jul12 low
and 61.8% Fibonacci retracement on the $0.7329-0.8125 rise, while hourly
resistance lies near $0.7690. There are also a couple of option expiries for
today at $0.7650(A$425mn) and $0.7680($659mn), that may help to contain the near
term range.
