Pelosi Says More Stimulus Needed Next Year Too

US
(MNI) WASHINGTON
  • While Speaker Pelosi took to the floor of the House of Representatives to urge her colleagues vote in support of the $2.2 trillion stimulus, Pelosi said "this legislation goes a long way" but "we cut a lot out by just cutting the time on it."
  • "Pretty soon we'll have to have legislation again. That'll be probably next year. This legislation [the $2.2 trillion proposal] goes to early next year, rather than later next year," she said, presumably referring to the original $3.4 trillion proposal Democrats proposed.
