Pelosi Shoots Down Standalone Airline Bill Without Extra Stimulus

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi speaking to reporters issues the following statement on the prospect of a standalone airlines support bill: "Let me just be really clear. I have been very open to having a standalone bill for the airlines or part of a bigger bill, but there is no standalone bill without a bigger bill. There is no bill."

  • Pelosi says she told the White House "We're at the table. We want to continue the conversation. We've made some progress. We're exchanging language. So we'll see how we connect."
  • "When the President did his tweet, that one that said that he was walking away, I think he surprised a lot of people. I do not want to go into who they are now, but it was a disservice to the discussion that we were having in good faith."
