Petroecuador Shuts 360kbpd SOTE Pipeline On Sabotage

Petroecuador temporarily shut down its trans-Andean 360kbpd SOTE crude oil pipeline to prevent an oil spill provoked by sabotage near Lago Agrio from expanding, the firm said in a note.

  • The suspension of the pipeline won’t have an import on crude oil exports given sufficient storage.
  • Emergency response efforts have contained the spillage in the Sucumbios province in northeast Ecuador.
