All timings subject to change.

Monday 12 October:

  • United States: President Donald Trump set to resume campaigning ahead of the November 3 presidential election with a rally in Orlando, FL. Will be Trump's first campaign stop following his hospitalisation with COVID-19. Democratic nominee Joe Biden will speak in Toledo, OH before moving onto Cincinnati in the same state, previously seen as a relatively likely hold for the Republicans.
  • United States: First day of Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett in front of Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC)'s Judiciary Committee. Starts at 0900ET (1400BST, 1500CET). Republicans hoping to have Barrett confirmed a week before the presidential election. Continues each day through until Thursday 15 October.
  • European Union: First official 'trilogue' between the three EU institutions on agreeing to the proposed long-term budget (multiannual financial framework). Major disagreements remain between the three bodies, with the European Parliament pushing for stricter rules on a mechanism to enforce respect for the rule of law, as well as greater funding for a number of projects and COVID-19 relief plans.
