Presidential Candidate Petro Says He’d Write Off Student Debt

Colombian presidential favourite Gustavo Petro said that he would write off student loans provided by the state-run financier Icetex. The comments were made while participating in a presidential debate organized by Externado University.

  • Additionally, Petro said he would resume peace talks with the ELN guerrillas as well as promoting cannabis exports, with a reform seeking to provide land ownership to farmers.
