NZD/USD prints at $0.6290/0.6295, the pair is down ~0.4% today.

  • The USD has firmed through the Asian session on Wednesday as softer US Equity futures and regional equities weigh on risk sentiment. A retracement in USD/JPY from session lows also boosted the USD.
  • Losses have marginally extended in recent dealing. NZD/USD deals a touch off session lows, there was brief support as the Caixin Services PMI printed stronger than expected however this was quickly unwound and the NZD pared the marginal recovery.
  • AUD/NZD sits little changed today, last printing at $1.0635/45.
  • Cross asset wise, e-minis are down ~0.2% and the Nikkei is down ~1.1%. US Treasury Yields are a touch lower across the curve. BBDXY is ~0.2% firmer.
  • ANZ Commodity Prices in March rose 1.3%, the domestic calendar is empty for the remainder of the week.
