PREVIEW: Liquidity Enhancement Auction For 1- To 5-Year JGBs Due

JGBS AUCTION

The Japanese Ministry of Finance (MOF) will today sell Y500bn of JGBs with 1-5 Years until maturity in a liquidity enhancement auction. JB#64-96, #137-152, #330-347, & #426-438 will be on offer.

  • The previous enhanced liquidity auction covering these maturities was held on May 6. The auction saw Y498.7bn issued and was covered 4.4182x at an average spread of +0.005%, and a high spread of +0.007%, with 39.1222% of the bids allotted at the high spread.
  • The usual rounds of clustering became apparent in the takedown details, with JB139-140 accounting for a cumulative ~Y119bn of the allotment, JB#333-335 accounting for a cumulative ~Y164bn of the paper issued and JB#435-436 accounting for ~Y88bn of the takedown.
  • Results due at 0435BST/1335JST.
