Producer Prices Rise 1.7% M/M in September

HUNGARY
  • Hungary's producer prices rose 1.7% m/m in September versus +0.7% in August, and greater than expectations of a smaller +0.7% increase, according to the Central Statistical Office. The yearly figure fell 2.5% y/y versus -2.3% in August (Est: -2.3% y/y). Prices for domestic sale grew by 7.8%, while export prices fell by 7.5%.
  • Foreign Minister Szijjarto speaks at a parliamentary committee on the economy at 0945BST/1045CET.
  • There is very little else in the way of notable domestic news flow and no other major releases on the docket today. Looking ahead, trade balance figures and manufacturing PMI data is on the docket on Thursday.
