Public Split On Bennett Government: Poll

ISRAEL

The broad coalition gov't of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett carries a net rating of zero in the latest approval rating opinion poll from Midgam, while the net score for the gov't handling of the COVID-19 pandemic stands at +11.

  • Government (Yesh Atid-B&W-Yamina-Labor-YB-NH-Meretz-Ra'am) approval rating poll: Approve: 45%, Disapprove: 45%. Net: 0%. Midgam, 12/07/21
  • Government (Yesh Atid-B&W-Yamina-Labor-YB-NH-Meretz-Ra'am) handling of the COVID-19 pandemic: Approve: 49%, Disapprove: 38%. Net: +11%. Midgam, 12/07/21
  • The gov't, with a majority of just one seat in the Knesset, remains extremely vulnerable to internal splits given the presence of an Islamist party, right-wing Zionist parties, and many parties in between on the political spectrum in the coalition.
  • Opinion polling shows the combined support for the Bennett gov't would be able to secure a narrow majority once again in the event of a snap feneral election if current support levels were reflected in the result.
