EURO-DOLLAR: Rate equals, but doesn't manage to break, the day's highs as the
DXY comes under some further pressure in early NY crossover. $1.1585 marks the
50-dma, which bulls need to overcome to strengthen the bullish argument. The USD
index now sits at the day's lowest levels and the lowest since Oct3. US CPI and
weekly jobless claims are the next calendar event, although broader market
sentiment may garner more focus today. Tech stocks remain weak in pre-market
trade, with Apple and Amazon shares suffering pre-market losses of as much as 2%
ahead of the bell.
