CABLE: Retested Friday's low of $1.2715 before it settled back above $1.2720
through to the close. Rate jumped to $1.2735 in opening Asian trade before it
settled around $1.2730 for the balance of the session. Dovish comments from RBA
Lowe knocked AUD lower which seemed to drag both EUR/USD and Cable lower with
it. Cable touched a low of $1.2717 before it again recovered back above $1.2720
(currently trades around $1.2724 at writing). Picking up suggestion of support
between $1.2715/10 from Asian traders, same ones that have suggested decent
support in EUR/USD at $1.1150. Guess if one goes the other likely to follow.
- Support $1.2715/10, $1.2700. A break of the latter to expose $1.2670.
Resistance $1.2750/60.
- BOE Carney, Broadbent, Tenreyro, Saunders testify to TSC on Inflation Report
at 0830GMT.
- CBI Trends data due at 1000GMT.
- Brexit remains key and seen keeping pressure on sterling.
