Romania's Navodari Refinery Completes Turnaround
REFINING
Romania’s Rompetrol has completed a turnaround at its Petromidia Navodari refinery – the biggest in the country.
- Some key parts of the upgrade were “the replacement of the reactors in the Diesel Hydrorefining plant, the modernization and change of some components and sub-assemblies in the Hydrogen unit, respectively the Delayed Coking unit. Added to these is the completion of the reconstruction works of the Mild Hydrocracking (MHC) unit,” Rompetrol said.
- Plants will return to production “in the shortest possible time,” the company said.
- The refinery processes Kazakh crude.
- The turnaround of this scale typically occurs every four years.
