Ruling Party Plan to Move Ahead With Glapinski Probe by End-March

  • Lawmakers from Poland’s biggest co-ruling party plan to file a motion in parliament by the end of March to put central bank Governor Adam Glapinski in front of the special tribunal, PAP newswire report.
  • The Civic Platform is working on a “preliminary motion” to probe Glapinski and is “determined see it through,” PAP cite Janusz Cichon, the chairman of the lower house’s public finance committee, as saying.
    • EURPLN saw a very slight downtick on the headlines, but remains 0.23% in the green at typing. Initial firm resistance has been defined at 4.3517, the 50-day EMA, while downside focus is on on 4.2935, the Dec 13 low and key support.
