Russia Ready to Send Higher Oil Product Volumes to Saudi

Russia is ready to increase petroleum product exports to Saudi Arabia according to Deputy PM Alexander Novak.

  • He made the remarks under the framework of the Russian Energy Week forum Putin is due to speak at later along with the Iraqi PM.
  • “Novak also said Russia was ready to collaborate with Saudi Arabia in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and geological exploration, as well as supplies of food and agricultural products.” according to Interfax reports.
  • There was no clarity on volumes or the scale of the potential new commitments.
  • Saudi has already been pulling in higher volumes of Russian oil products, no longer imported by the EU after the Feb 5 ban.
