Russia's Novak Set for Domestic Fuel Meet March 22

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak is set for his latest meet with domestic fuel producers March 22 to discuss market conditions according to Interfax – a situation complicated by the latest attacks on refining infrastructure.

  • “The discussion would concern specifically boosting fuel sales on the exchange, the schedule for repairing refineries, and measures to maintain stable supplies of petroleum products to the domestic market.” Interfax reports.
  • These meets have led to export bans in the past to try and preserve the domestic market. The Russian government has banned exporting gasoline from March 1 to the end of August, and the ban on exporting winter diesel fuel remains in effect Interfax reported.
