Russia Ships 2.4mn bbls of Diesel Post Ban

OIL PRODUCTS

Russia has shipped 2.4mn bbls of low sulphur diesel since the ban last week according to Kpler figures, likely reflecting vessels with loading papers prior to the ban being implemented September 21.

  • Vortexa figures showed a stark drop off in diesel exports from Russia before and after the ban on a daily basis (see chart)
  • Bloomberg earlier reported that Russia is planning to cut diesel exports from its main western ports to almost nothing in October based on loading schedules.
