Russian Crude Exports From Western Ports Rise In April

Oil loadings from Russia’s western ports in April will rise to 2.4mbpd, the highest level since 2019, despite Russia’s pledge to cut output by 500kbpd according to trading and shipping sources.

  • Russian crude exports and transit from the ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Novorossiysk in April will rise above 10mn tonnes, up from 9.7mn tonnes in March.
  • Russia’s energy ministry said output was cut by 700kbpd in March, but latest crude export data lead to doubts in the size of Russia’s output reduction.
