Russian Domestic Gasoline Supplies Sufficient: Energy Minister

Russia has enough gasoline to meet domestic demand according to Russian energy minister Nikolai Shulginov, who talked down possible export restrictions due to tightness.

  • He had spoken of the potential need to do so last month.
  • "We discussed export restrictions in relation to rising prices on the wholesale market ... the pressure from the wholesale market on retail ... Otherwise, our market is provided with production, our oil refining is growing as well as the production of motor fuels," Shulginov said to Russia-24.
