Russian Refiners Ordered to Increase Winter Diesel

Russia’s Deputy PM Novak has ordered domestic refiners to raise winter diesel output to ensure domestic demand is met after he met with them Monday.

  • Bloomberg and Reuters last week reported rising runs in Russia last week as refiners return from maintenance and the recent export ban which was largely lifted.
  • Russia processed 5.26 mn bpd of crude in the seven days through Oct. 11, 108,000 bpd higher than the week prior.
