Russia’s Arctic LNG-2 To Start Shipments in 2024: Novak

The first train of the Artic-LNG 2 plant will be completed by 2023 year-end, with first shipments to begin in early 2024, according to TASS, citing comments from Russia’s Deputy PM Alexaner Novak.

  • Meanwhile, the second train of the project is expected to start LNG output in December 2024.
  • Arctic LNG-2, run by Novatek, will have three LNG production trains, each with a capacity of 6.6m mtpa, giving a total capacity of 19.8m mtpa.
  • The third and final train is due for completion in 2026.
