Russia’s Jan Oil Product Exports Fall: Platts

OIL PRODUCTS

Russia’s oil product exports in January fell 7% on the month according to Platts, driven by poor weather and rising Ukrainian drone attacks on energy infrastructure.

  • Fuel and Feedstock exports from Russian ports averaged 2.4m b/d in January, with the largest decline in fuel oil VGO, and naphtha, Platts said.
  • Poor weather hampered exports from Novorossiysk, where crude exports were down 25k b/d, and products down 45k b/d.
  • Ust-Luga was damaged Jan.21 by a drone attack, seeing the largest slide in product flows, down 150k b/d on the month. Crude loadings were also down 90k b/d on the month.
