S. Korea Threatens To Respond To Provocations As North Said It Simulated Nuclear Attacks

NORTH KOREA

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol warned that North Korea will pay for its repeated military provocations after Pyongyang said that it carried out more exercises simulating nuclear attacks on its enemies.

  • North Korea today said that it tested a unmanned underwater attack boat "Tsunami" in an attempt to diversify platforms for launching nuclear attacks after test-firing a barrage of cruise missiles carrying mock nuclear warheads earlier in the week.
  • Yoon said in a speech that "North Korea is advancing its nuclear weapons by the day, and carrying out missile provocations with an unprecedented intensity," adding that he "will make sure North Korea pays the price for its reckless provocations."
