SAGBs Under Pressure at the Outset, Curve Bear Steepens

  • SAGBs kick off on the back foot once again this morning, with 10Y yields up +5.9bp in early trading while the remainder of the curve remains slightly weaker.
  • Duration came under pressure in yesterday's session with 15-30Y yields rising +8.6-9.2bp on the day with the 30Y holding above 10.80.
  • July's high at 10.866 become the next topside resistance, followed by 11.00.
  • SAGBs remain vulnerable to rising UST yields and oil prices which remain buoyant amid a tight supply backdrop.
