EGB SUMMARY

EGBs have been better bid this afternoon, despite Equities holding onto their gains.

  • Bund are up 33 ticks, and with the long end outperforming, the curve is bull flatter.
  • Peripherals have traded in tandem with core Govies and are as such, close to flat versus the German 10yr.
  • The standout is once again Greece, after the Greek 10yr bond broke through its record low in Yield.
  • Greece is 2.2bps tighter in the spread.
  • Italy and the BTP have also been in focus, after the 3yr yield broke through it record lows, and 10yr traded to 0.756%, just a touch from the record low at 0.751%
  • Bund futures are up 0.32 today at 174.45.
  • 10y Bund yields down -2.5bp at -0.520%.
  • Schatz yields down -1.3bp at -0.710%.
  • BTP futures are up 0.22 today at 148.86
  • 10y yields down -1.9bp at 0.765% and 2y yields down -0.4bp at -0.309%
  • OAT futures are up 0.30 today at 168.74
  • 10y yields down -2.4bp at -0.255% and 2y yields down -1.6bp at -0.680%.
