LATAM

Despite a stronger Emerging Market Currency Index (+0.48%) and weaker Bloomberg Dollar Index, LatAm performance is mixed as domestic narratives take a backseat.

  • Mexico - Relentless bid in stocks and soft dollar has seen a slow and steady unwind in USDMXN back down to 20.1875, down 0.5%.
  • Brazil - Very lacklustre session for the Real, actually bucking the trend with USDBRL +0.45% at 5.4350.
  • USDCLP closed broadly unchanged at 738.38, down 0.14%
  • Peru Central Bank active selling again, this time $101M. USDPEN exactly unchanged on the day.
  • Colombian Peso outperforming with USDCOP down 1.35% at 3572.99.
