Softer At The Lunch break, 10y Yield Close to 1.04%, Climate Bond Auction Soon

JGB futures sit close to session lows at the lunch time break. JBM4 last at 143.47, -.05 versus settlement levels.

  • We haven't tested before lows from the start of yesterday's session, but the downside bias remains intact.
  • Coming up shortly we have the 10yr climate transition bond sale. News flows has been fairly light, with FinMin Suzuki crossing the wires earlier, with comments on FX and wage growth outpacing inflation the major focus points.
  • Earlier data showed the PPI for the services sector accelerating to 2.8% y/y, versus 2.3% forecast.
  • In the cash JGB space, yields have ticked higher at the back end. The 10yr is near 1.04%, the 30yr close to 2.19%. The 10yr swap rate has ticked higher to 1.06% as well.
