  • Turkish Electricity Transmission company (TEIAS) was included in the country's privatization process in the official gazette on Saturday.
    • TEIAS currently owns 71,097km of energy transmission lines & Turkey holds 97,689MW of installed capacity for generation
  • Germany's Deutsche Bank says on Saturday that it is yet to receive a request for the $15bn financing for the Kanal Istanbul project from Turkey, despite comments from Erdogan.
    • Comes after Erdogan said the CHP were threatening DB over the project
  • On Friday Erdogan said Turkey will protect its rights in the East Med and continue to explore for hydrocarbons.
    • "whatever our rights are, we will get them. We will continue our oil exploration activities in East Med & Cyprus"
