Steady After RBA Hikes 25bps

AUSSIE BONDS

Aussie Bonds are steady after the RBA hiked the cash rate 25bps to 4.35%. The bank noted in their statement that further tightening is dependent on data and that it sees increased risk that inflation stays higher for longer.

  • ACGB Yields ticked marginally higher after the decision, and are now ~4bps cheaper across the major benchmarks.
  • Futures are a touch firmer than their pre-decision levels. XM sits down 0.01 and YM is changed from opening levels.
  • More details to follow.
