Steam Availability Hits Units at Exxon Baytown Refinery

Exxon’s Baytown 564kbd refinery, Texas, has shut a hydrocracker since April 18 as well as two furnace stacks on its largest crude unit according to a Bloomberg source.

  • The units have been impacted by steam availability.
  • The 28k b/d hydrocracker was shut during the evening of April 18. Decreased activity also was observed at Pipestill 8 CDU as one of its two furnace stacks shut at that time, according to Wood Mackenzie
