/STIRS: Slightly More Focus Given To Downtick In ECB's 1-Year Inflation Exp. Survey

BUNDS

Contained swings around the ECB consumer inflation expectations survey prints, as participants assess the downtick in the 1-Year metric vs. the uptick in the 3-Year metric (and methodology changes). Bund futures did show below 134.00 (lows of 133.99) before a recovery to the 134.15-20 area, suggesting that the larger fall in shorter-run inflation expectations is dominating when it comes to immediate price action, while end of ’24 ECB-dated OIS adds 1bp of easing vs. pre-release levels.
