Stock Markets Open Firmer, Earnings Prove Supportive on Balance

EQUITIES
  • Headed into the Tuesday cash open, the e-mini S&P trades just modestly firmer, sitting around 10 points off the day's best level of 4268.25. The S/T outlook looks largely neutral given the consolidation of prices between yesterday's hi/lo.
  • Total pre-market volumes see just over 250k contracts traded, dragging slightly against the average for this time of day. Futures more broadly point to a higher cash open, supported by US yields holding the bulk of yesterday's pull lower (10y still below 4.90% and well below yesterday's cycle high above 5.00%).
  • Earnings persist in the busiest week of the quarter, with strong reports from Verizon (+4.4%) Coca-Cola (+2.7%), General Electric (+4.7%) only countered by downside in Danaher (-3.7%) pre-market. The larger reports come after the close, with Visa, Microsoft, and Alphabet the headliners. Full schedule here: https://roar-assets-auto.rbl.ms/files/56296/MNIUSE...
