STOCKS: Stocks in Asia are mixed on Thursday, indices are see-sawing between
gains and losses with jitters of volatility eveident following price
fluctuations earlier this week. In Japan the NIkkei 225 is up 124 points at
21,768, but off session highs at 21,904. Data earlier in the session was largely
ignored, though figures showed that foreigners sold Japanese stocks for the 3rd
consecutive week, however the pace of selling slowed. 7/11 sectors are in the
green, led higher by Industrials and Healthcare. 
- In China the Shanghai Comp down 26 points at 3,282, while in Hong Kong the
Hang Seng is up 149 points at 30,470. Mainland China shares are extending a 3
day loss and on track for the worst 3 day decline since mid-2016.
- In Australia the ASX 200 is down 2.5 points at 5,874. Aussie shares took a
negative lead from the US but have bounced between minor gains and losses.
- US futures are lower, e-mini S&P futures down 8.5 points but are off earlier
lows after falling up to 22 points early in the session as a wave of risk off
sentiment took hold early in the session.
