Strong Public Support For Intn'l Travel Vaccine Passports

Latest study from YouGov shows overwhelming support for so-called vaccine passports, showing that an individual has been vaccinated against COVID-19, to be required for international travel.

  • Indonesia: 86% support, India: 85%, Mexico: 82%, Singapore: 82%, China: 80%, Australia: 79%, United Kingdom: 77%, UAE: 76%, Italy: 75%, Spain: 74%, Denmark: 71%, Sweden: 68%, France: 62%, United States: 62%, Germany: 61%, Hong Kong: 60%, Poland: 54%. YouGov, April 2021, Sample sizes: 508-2,019.
  • The survey also shows some similarities with those carried out on vaccine hesitancy, with those publics more wary of taking a vaccine (Hong Kong, US, France) also some of the least likely to support vaccine passports. Meanwhile those countries with strong vaccine acceptance (India, UK, UAE) are more in favour of ensuring international travelers are vaccinated.
