Stronger than exp. Chinese GDP data...........>

BUNDS
BUNDS: Stronger than exp. Chinese GDP data pressured German FI futures
overnight, Schatz unch., Bobls -6.0 ticks, Bunds -28 ticks. This comes after the
space was subjected to BBG & RTRS source reports Tuesday, initially turning bid
on the back of a RTRS sources piece which suggested that several ECB
policymakers doubt the projected growth rebound. The report added that several
members of the ECB even question the accuracy of the Bank's forecasting models.
The release of a BBG source report capped the space for the day, as it noted
that ECB officials lack enthusiasm for sub-zero tiering, with some doubtful that
such policy will ever be implemented.
- Late Tuesday ECB's Nowotny suggested that there are no official plans re:
tiering and that he sees no reason for the ECB to alter its current forward
guidance. This came after he conceded that policymakers seemed nervous re:
Europe at the latest IMF gathering.
- Final EZ CPI data crosses today, alongside the latest trade balance and
current account data. On the central bank front ECB's Villeroy & Lautenschlaeger
are due to speak. Looking to supply, Germany will bring 2044 paper to market.
