  • Ahead of the BoC decision on Wed Oct 26, the Bloomberg consensus has slowed turned to a median 75bp expectation as responses are slowly updated after BoC surveys and CPI last week.
  • In contrast, only 2 of the 10 analysts reviewed by MNI expect a 50bp hike and they see upside risk to their calls. 8 (or 9 if you include Desjardins not included) call for a 75bp hike.
  • There’s a broad range of terminal rate views, between 4.00-4.75% whilst ING and UBS both see cuts starting 2H23.
