US TSYS
US TSYS: T-Notes last dealing at 127-17, -0-02 on the day, after closing back
from best levels on Monday in what was a very quiet start to the week.
- Some touted some pre-auction selling as a reason behind the pullback from the
highs late Monday as the front end of the curve lagged, with 2-Year supply due
Tuesday, followed by 5- & 7-Year issuance later this week.
- At writing RTRS has noted that U.S. President Trump met with top tech execs to
discuss matters surrounding Huawei, with the President reportedly agreeing to a
request for timely licencing decision re: sales to Huawei.
- There was also some positive chatter via Chinese state media outlets
surrounding the chances of Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products,
although this was countered by the U.S. slapping sanctions on a Chinese entity
for importing Iranian oil later in the day.
- Also worth highlighting that the Republicans & Democrats have struck a
tentative deal re: the debt ceiling, which must now be voted on in Congress.
- Eurodollar futures deal 1.0-2.0 ticks lower through the reds.
