US TSY/RECAP
US TSY/RECAP: T-Notes went out at session lows on strong volume, with the cash
curve running steeper on the day.
- Markets largely brushed off the latest round of U.S. tariffs on Chinese
imports & China's retaliatory measures, with the details of the levies offering
no surprise, and if anything most deemed them as a little watered down when
compared to worst case scenarios.
- Corporate issuance added additional weight to the long end, as did block trade
activity and a bid in equities.
- This allowed 10-Year Tsy yields to touch the highest levels seen since May.
- The Eurodollar strip ran steeper on the day, in line with Tsys.
- T-Notes last 118.23+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields closed at 3.055%.
