Tauron Extends Jaworzno 2 Coal Plant Works Until 3 July

Tauron halted the 910MW B7 unit at the Jaworzno 2 coal-fired plant after a fire broke out on Tuesday evening at one of the units, Polsat News website reports, cited by Bloomberg.

  • The unit was halted late on 4 June and is scheduled to return on 3 July, from 8 June earlier scheduled, remit data showed.
  • The Polish week-ahead power base-load contract rose to 448 PLN/MWh today from 439 PLN/MWh on Tuesday, TGE data showed.
