Technical Analysis: CZKHUF Breaks Above 14 Resistance

  • USDCZK keeps consolidating lower this morning, gradually approaching its 100DMA support at 21.49; next level to watch on the downside stands at 21.31. On the topside, first resistance stands at 21.72 (200DMA), followed by 21.92.
  • EURCZK has been consolidating lower in the past week, currently trading slightly above its 50DMA support at 25.51; a break below that level would open the door for a move down to 25.34. On the topside, first resistance stands at 25.77, followed by 25.93.
  • GBPCZK has been trending lower in recent days, breaking below its 100DMA support this morning (29.95); next level to watch on the downside stands at 29.72. On the topside, first resistance to watch stands at 30.
  • CZKJPY ticks slightly higher this morning, currently testing its 100DMA at 5.09; a break above that level would open the door for a move up to 5.16. On the downside, first support stands at 5.06, followed by 5.
  • CZKPLN ticks higher this morning after failing to break below its 50DMA earlier; the pair is currently testing its 0.1791 resistance, next level to watch on the topside stands at 0.18. On the downside, first support to watch below 0.1770 (50DMA) stands at 0.1764 (100DMA).
  • CZKRUB has been trending higher in the past two days and is currently testing its 200DMA at 3.45; a break above that level would open the door for a move up to 3.50 On the downside, first support to watch stands at 3.40.
  • CZKHUF has been trending higher this week amid HUF weakness, breaking above its 14 resistance this morning; next level to watch on the topside stands at 14.15, which corresponds to the pair's all time high. On the downside, first support to watch below 14 stands at 13.86 (100DMA), followed by 13.79 (50DMA). RSI 14D is currently showing that CZKHUF is slightly 'overbought'. (chart below).
