FOREX: Technical overview of the FX majors:
- EURUSD likely to remain soft. The double top projection is 1.0967 is still
possible near-term.
- Cable and EURGBP: Short lived boost to Sterling yesterday? Cable remains below
a short-term trendline resistance at 1.2942, drawn off Oct 21 high. Risk remains
skewed to the downside, watch support at 1.2769. EURGBP cleared its range base
yesterday at 0.8576, however we haven't seen any follow through yet. A break
below yesterday's low of 0.8558 would allow for a resumption of weakness.
- USDJPY still bullish and looking for gains towards the 110.00 handle.
- EURJPY key support to watch is 120.01, a break would allow for a deeper
retracement within the channel.
- AUDUSD is holding above trendline support at 0.6825, drawn off Oct 2 low. Need
to see the trendline hold to avoid a deeper sell-off. Outlook remains bullish.
- USDCAD is leading the way in terms of direction. 1.3240 resistance has been
cleared, looking for gains to 1.3300 next.
